When we settle down to pray, God is already present waiting for us, always eager to meet us and know us more completely. Can I lay down my concerns and worries and lose myself in God’s silence, the silent love that embraces the world? Pause for a few moments and become aware of the presence of God as you sit here right now, the God who knows and loves me for who I am, as I am. Focus on a lighted candle or just notice the slow rhythm of your breathing and know that God is with you, and more that God is within you, giving you life, holding you in being, loving you.
