Weekly Newsletter - 7th April 2024

Dear Parishioners,

Greetings and peace to you and your families on this Divine Mercy Sunday. Looking back over Holy Week and the Easter ceremonies there is much to be grateful for. For a start it was wonderful to see lots of new faces and smiling faces. It was also wonderful to see a lot of young faces, particularly Amirtha Catherine, Diego and Finlay who were baptised, confirmed and who received First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil. The children from Hardwicke St sang their hearts out at the 11 am Mass on Sunday morning but they still had loads of energy left to find the chocolate that the Easter Bunny had hidden in the garden for them. My thanks to everyone who made it such a special Easter. We can move forward now knowing that the Risen Christ is always with us.

Every blessing,

Fr Niall

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT SEMINAR

7th April to 20th May 2024

Easter season lasts for 50 days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. Our Life in the Spirit Seminar will stretch throughout most of the Easter Season and is a wonderful way to enrich your faith journey.

We start on Monday, 8th April at 7pm in Ignatian Chapel.

Topic for Week 1 is Love of God the Father. Niall Fahy, who is based in Northern Ireland, will lead the first session. After a short talk, Niall and his prayer partner Billy Beattie will spend time praying with people. Niall & Billy have a ministry of praying for people through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They are family men with full-time jobs, who answered God’s call to serve people in their free time. They will pray for every single person who comes on the night, and who wishes to be prayed with. Last year, a lot of you were blessed by their ministry.

We will have “Finding new life in the Spirit” available for€5 per copy.

We hope you will join us!

THE LITTLE ELEVEN – ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AT MASS.

Every second Sunday at the 11 am Mass we offer enjoyable faith activities for primary school children in the coffee room with two safeguarded adults. We call it The Little Eleven. The children go out just before the first reading and they come back at the offertory to join us for the Eucharist. A parent or guardian is also welcome to join if they wish to.
